Palin’s Bush

I have decided tonight that the Left should stop hating Bush and claim him as the best president this country has ever had.
Why? Because he got Obama elected!!
The Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh types are now having this Republican civil war with the moderate and intellectual Powell, George Brooks, Ken Duberstein types, who do not want to be the party of Ms. Joe-Six-Pack herself, Sarah Palin. This is obvious when you see all these McCain vs Palin vs McCain leaks coming from the McCain camps post-mortem.
There are going to be a lot of moderates going along with President Obama.
Today Sen. Lindsay Graham and Sen. Joe Lieberman (McCain’s closest pals) expressed praise for the new President. There are even rumors of reaching to McCain, the real McCain, the 2000 McCain, who is probably disgusted by the right-wing of his party and will gladly go back to being that mavericky-pragmatic-independent thorn in their side.
The New York Times put up a map of which counties voted more democratic or more republican this year than 4 years ago. Every part of the country was extraordinarily bluer except for a significant amount of red in Appalachia and swinging toward Arkansas.
That is what is left of the Palin-Joe-Six-Pack-wing type thinking. The culture war, the us vs. you type thinking is being drowned out. That is what is left, that minority of the country is what will be turned on by the Sean Hannity politics, as it will cause the rest of the country to go bluer and bluer.
It was only four years ago that Bush was successful by pushing this type of Rovian politics and it took them only two years to lose their “permanent majority” in Congress and four to lose the White House. So let Ann Coulter yell and scream herself into a tinier and tinier minority of thinking in this country.

BTW I heard Grover Norquist and 19 other hardcore right-wingers are somewhere in Virginia at a meeting of the “minds” tonight. I’m sure the meeting is in a locked bunker set to open on January 20, 2017 when the country definitely can’t be under the power of this socialist-muslim-pallin’-around-with-terrorist-President. Hopefully the nuclear (Say it with me now: New-Clear) fallout will be settled by then.
